WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DRYWALL IS INSTALLED AND PAINTED?
The Bekins Smart Home team started what is called the “trim phase.” The CEDIA and HTA Certified technicians started trimming and “terminated” the low-voltage wires they installed. This includes installing wireless internet devices throughout the home to secure strong and reliable internet coverage.
Next, they installed an audio rack in the mechanical room. The techs or the homeowners can easily access the modem, audio, video, and automation gear in one spot without interrupting the home’s décor. The electronic components are installed neatly to allow proper ventilation and prevent overheating.
ONCE THE LOCAL PROVIDER INSTALLS INTERNET, WE REALLY TAKE OFF!
Paradigm In-Ceiling Speakers
Our technicians installed a pair of in-ceiling speakers in front of the TV. The speakers recess into the ceiling and integrate into the décor thanks to a white grill cover.
The speakers tilt at a 30-degree angle to direct the audio toward the viewer.
Samsung The Frame TV
With an internet connection, our technicians installed Samsung’s The Frame TV. It has a proprietary box, which allows the TV to hang on the wall like a picture frame. The speaker system requires an amplifier. Our team installed the amplifier separate from the proprietary box behind the Frame TV for ease of use.
Thanks to planning, our team set up a hard-wired connection directly into the TV. The direct connection provides a reliable, uninterrupted experience while watching your favorite episode on Netflix or Paramount+, even while the entire family is over for Thanksgiving using your internet!
Lutron Palladiom Shades
Next up, our team connected the power supplies to the motorized Lutron Palladiom window treatments on select windows and sliders. Palladiom motorized window treatments are not a product you can get just anywhere; it is created for the most sophisticated homes and technicians.
To sell, service, and install Palladiom shades, aspiring dealers must achieve and maintain strict qualifications with Lutron.
Ring Cameras and Security Devices
Our technicians install Ring doorbell cameras and security devices in strategic locations around the home. With a special sensor, the homeowner can get alerts for anyone who enters.
CONTROL IT ALL FROM YOUR PHONE OR YOUR WALL
While some motorized window treatments are powered by batteries and controlled with a remote, we always recommend a wired connection for best reliability.
The Bekins Smart Home Condo shades are hard-wired into a connection behind the drywall, which runs back to the mechanical room. The homeowners can control their lights and shades from apps on their phones or keypads on the walls.
Once everything was installed, Bekins technicians checked and clearly labeled all connections for ease of use in the apps.
MORE SUPPORT FOR YEARS TO COME
Since this condo will be up for sale, you never know what a future homeowner may want.
Bekins installed wiring to the patio area in case a future homeowner chooses to add outdoor cameras, outdoor wireless internet, or outdoor speakers.
